From No to Never: the Connery charity fundraiser

This year’s charity watchalong is all 007 of Connery’s Bond films, back to back. Join us for some or all of it on 29 and 30 May to help us raise money for PAPYRUS - Prevention of Young Suicide.

The story so far…

Over the last four years, the Licence to Queer community has raised £9,170.44 for charity. This year, we’re aiming to take it over the £10,000 mark.

The charities have included Roger Moore’s beloved UNICEF, Papyrus Prevention of Young Suicide and Prostate Cancer UK.

Each year has had a variety of events, with the centrepiece being an epic watchalong of Bond films. We started with Roger, moved onto Pierce, then did Daniel and, most recently, we did ‘the other fellas’: Tim, George, David (and all the other Bonds of Casino Royale 1967.

The only Bond who hasn’t featured is Sean. So this year, that’s what we’re doing.

2026’s watchalong

We’re watching all 007 of Sean’s films, from Dr. No to Never Say Never Again.

We’ll be going Instagram live before and in each between film to chat with people and introduce themed cocktails, which we’ll make live.

If you can join us for any of the films, we’ll be posting stories and engaging throughout.

Here’s when it’s happening. All times are in British Summer Time:

Friday 29 May

7pm Dr. No

9pm From Russia with Love

Saturday 30 May

8am Goldfinger

11am Thunderball

2pm You Only Live Twice

5pm Diamonds Are Forever

8pm Never Say Never Again

We know times are tight, but if you can make a donation, we’d really appreciate it.

This year’s charity

This year’s charity is once again Papyrus Prevention of Young Suicide - an incredibly worthy cause. David is raising money for them by walking the entire length of Hadrian’s Wall (84 miles) in just four days. He’s doing this just a few days before this watchalong, so he’s definitely going to appreciate a sit down!

This year, everyone who donates (whatever the amount) will be entered into a draw to win a Licence to Queer t-shirt, completely customised for you - colour, size, etc.

You can relive our previous events with these mission reports, which include recordings from the Instagram lives from the days themselves:

2022: Rogering for UNICEF

2023: Donate Another Day

2024: Time to Donate

2025: The Other Fellas
