2006’s Casino Royale successfully updated James Bond for a modern age, rejuvenating the character and bringing new audiences to this beloved franchise. A masterful translation of a novel many considered to be unfilmable, Daniel Craig’s debut allowed more people than ever before to not only see themselves as James Bond, but also want to be part of his world. This special screening took place two days after Global James Bond Day, which marks the original release date of another epochal Bond film: Dr. No.

Before the screening, a diverse group of Casino Royale superfans discussed why the film continues to be so impactful.
